Violet Marie Finet

SPRING GREEN - Violet M. (Nysted) Finet, age 92, passed away peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare on Monday Apr 21, 2014.   Violet was the daughter of Peter and Tilla Nysted and grew up in Marshfield and Loyal, Wis.  She moved to Chicago to work during the war where she met and married Burton Finet when he returned in 1945. They moved to Wausau, Wis. where they raised four children until employment took them to Rolla, Mo. in 1972.  Retirement led them back to Wis. and Spring Green in 2000 to be near family.   In addition to her dedicated child-rearing and homemaking efforts, Violet always included civic, church, and political activities.  She had leadership roles in PTA, the Bethel Series, and League of Women Voters in both Wausau and Rolla.  She became an avid weaver, producing beautiful clothing and household items for sale and as gifts.  Above all, Violet cherished get-togethers with both close and extended family all her life.   Violet is survived by her sons Randall and Dennis, and daughter Lezlie; brothers Orville and Leonard; sisters Wanda, Mary and Jeanne; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and dozens of nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Burton; son Gregory; brothers Lyle and Julius and sisters Margaret and Pearl.   A funeral service will be at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 237 E. Daley Street, Spring Green at 3 PM on Monday, April 28, 2014, with Pastor Douglas Larson-Sell presiding.  A visitation will be held from 2 PM until time of service.   Donations to Bread for the World or to the Heifer Project in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
