Dear Helen and family,
We are so sorry. You and Don have been good friends of ours for many years and we treasured each time we could visit with you. Don worked with my late husband, Norman Gullickson, at the Post Office and Norm always considered Don one of his best friends too. They shared many stories. We will be marching in the VFW Loyalty Day Parade in Viroqua tomorrow and unable to be with you but, be assured, our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Blessings always.

To Don's family: The Volunteers, myself included, of Badger Honor Flight extend our deepest sympathy in Don's passing. We were all honored to be a part of his trip to Washington, D.C to honor his service. My father, Donald O'Leary, also worked with Don at the Post Office. Our prayers go out to your family at this time. Juli Hillebrand

I was a fellow guardsman of Don's and he was a good friend. We s hared many lunches with other members of the National Guard on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Don always had good stories and reminisces of our National Guard days. He was always pleasant and a real gentleman. I am so very sorry I did not get to the wake or the funeral. I planned on the funeral on Saturday but a family situation occurred Saturday morning that prevented me from attending. I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the family and know that you will miss his smiling face as will we, his National Guard buddies.
