I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when I was the little bridesmaid in your wedding Susan and how your Mom was so nice to me...I was kind of scared being away from home. I know she was the "mother figure" for my mom growing up and for that I am very thankful. Treasure the memories and know that she is in a better place waiting to see us all again someday.....

Aunt Irene, You were one of my favorite Aunts. Always had a loving smile and way with us kids when you visited us on the farm. Wish we had lived a little closer and could have visited more often. You will always be dear to my heart. "No matter where life takes us, it's important to remember those who shared the journey, who have shaped us in ways they may not even realize."
I hope Heaven is full of beautiful flowers for you-if not, I'm sure you will plant some!!!! :) Terri (Mittlesteadt) Gher

It was always nice when Aunt Irene and Uncle Herman would visit us on Mom and Dad's farm when we were little. I always loved the way she spoke. She was so soft spoken and kind with a laugh I will not forget. So wish we had lived closer and been able to spend more time with all of you. I know that Mom looked up to her, her big sister! It was also fun to visit in her home. Always gracious and of coarse we loved being in the BIG city being farm kids!! It was an adventure for us that we loved! Sympathys to the entire family and know that she is at rest and happy now! Karin (Mittlesteadt) Powell and family.

Sue and Richard, please accept my sincere condolences. I miss seeing her, and you, in the hallways at Oak Park Place. Your Mom was a sweetheart, and the memory of that twinkle in her eye still makes me smile. May she rest in peace.
