Mark David Foster

SUN PRAIRIE-Mark D. Foster, age 68, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014, at his home. He was born on Jan. 11, 1946, in Madison, the son of Earl and Irene (Dittburner) Foster. He married Chon “Jeannie” Chi, whom he met while serving in the U.S. Army, on Jan. 23, 1969, in Korea. Mark graduated from Madison West High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army from October 1966 through 1968 and was stationed in Seoul, Korea. Mark was a member of VFW Post No. 7591. After graduating from Madison Business College, he was a long time employee with Farm Service, first in Dane County and later in Mason County, Ill. He was most recently employed with UW School of Agriculture. Mark is survived by his wife, Jeannie Foster of Sun Prairie; three sisters, Gail (Tom) Aaroen of McFarland, Joan Foster of Edgerton and Jennifer (Jim) Stull of Cottage Grove; step-mother, Phyllis Foster of Stoughton; nephews, Joshua (Leigha) Aaroen, Jake Aaroen, Joe Aaroen and Christopher Stull; his niece, Ashley Stull; great-nieces, Bryonna and Kendra Aaroen; and other relatives. Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, with the Rev. Curt Everson presiding. Burial will be at Mt. Repose in Friendship, Wis., with military rites. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
