Holte, Velma M.
SUN PRAIRIE-Velma M. Holte, age 85, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on September 7, 1928, in Madison, the daughter of Don and Lola Baker. She married Trenton G. Holte on April 3, 1947, in Key West, Fla. Velma graduated from East High School. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, spending time with her family and socializing at church. Velma is survived by her husband, Trenton; children, Terry (Pam) Holte, Cathy Holte, Candy (Mike) DiMaggio, Scott Holte, Julie (Geoff) Snyder and Tammy (Tracy) Daubenspeck; 13 grandkids; 23 great-grandkids; and sister, Bette Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lola and Donald Baker; brothers, Donald Baker and Eugene Smith; a daughter, Sharon Breitzke; and a son, Ricky Holte. Funeral Services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago Street, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014, with Pastor Susan Schneider presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. My sweet Aunt Velma will be sadly missed by everyone that ever knew her. She is at peace now in God's loving care with her children Sharon and Ricky. God Bless her entire family during this sad time. I would be there if I could be but will be there in my heart. I love you all.
