I always appreciated Gail's hard work and dedication to the Wisconsin Band. She was a saint to keep Mike in-line, and her humor and wit were well-placed (especially when we were about to get in trouble from Mike). Thank you Gail. You'll be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

My sincere condolences to Gail's family. She was a special lady and friend to so many of us members of the Wisconsin Marching Band. I don't know of anyone who could have taken the craziness of our group in stride as she did and manage to organize all the details to make us all look good. Our hearts go out to all who knew and loved her. She'll always have a special place in the heart of the Wisconsin Band.

To Gail's Family: Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Gail was my constant cheerleader during my first years as an assistant professor at UW-Madison's School of Music. She always had time for me when I stopped in to say "hello." We shared many laughs, and I owe my collection of UW Marching Band memorabilia to Gail--that and she always had chocolate ready to soothe my ruffled feathers. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her; she leaves a space that no one can fill. With deep affection, Teri Dobbs
