I am really sorry to hear of Mrs. Dahl's passing. I have many happy memories of times spent at there home when they lived in McFarland when I would come over to visit Joe. Joe and I were great friends and I will always remember the warm greetings and conversations I had with them. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Always, Rosanne (Parks) Slinde

Lou, We just got your card today, and we are both so very sorry to hear of Marie's passing. She was a very special lady, and she treated me like a son those three summers I lived with you. I have so many fond memories of both of you, and I can hear your voices in my head as clearly as if I just got off the phone with you. What a testimony to be married for 58 years! You were a great couple and shared so many interests together. We know you miss her terribly. We've wanted for years to get up your way and stop in for a visit, but the best of intentions don't produce much sometimes, and now the opportunity is lost. We may yet make a go of it this fall, and if we actually follow through, we will come by Stoughton too. Know that we are mourning with you and share your loss, your very special loss..
