Dave is my younger brother by ten years and we are brothers by a blended family. His Mom Bette was a fine lady and married our Dad, Gene when my older brother Gene and I were about 7 and 9. Bette sure had her hands full with us as she had never been married. It didn't take her very long to "get our attention" and "whip us in shape"! (OUCH!!!) Dave came along two years later and we got to "care " for him as a baby and it may be a small miracle that he made it through our "HELP" raising him. Gene taught him SPORTS and with Rich it was CARS! The three of us sure did have many good times and adventures together until Gene left for the Navy when Dave was 6. Our Dad Gene was a Master at getting old clunker cars going so that led Rich & Dave into the same thing, Big Time. The three of us spent our share of time under and on top of many old buckets of bolts, but we always got then running and usually sold. Fords were our favorites. Dave became "Big Brother" at 9 when Rich left for the Marines and He is Big Brother to Doug, Caryl, and Chris. Later Dave used those Mechanic's skills when he and his own Semi Truck hauled Many Hundreds of Thousands of tons of goods across the USA. He was no "Dummy" though and he married his sweetheart Judy and the two of them Double Clutched those 18 wheelers for 9 years together. Oh, what tales they could share with us! HeeHee!
Gene Fowler Senior had a Big Heart and loved to help others with electrical or automotive problems, even when his own home or car had similiar needs. Dave had those same traits and spent hours helping others and never expected anything in return. We know Dave was no saint, nor were his brothers or sister, but all of us kids have loved our wives and families and in that light Dave will Be Greatly Missed. Thank You Judy for Loving Dave and standing by him for 42 adventuresome years. You are A Blessing to all of us. God Bless You Richly as you continue on giving to your community, family, and friends. Love, Rich & Joyce Fowler. (o:~
