You were and are THE BEST Grandpa in the world. Thank you for teaching me how to throw a football with the perfect spiral, how to shoot a free throw, and for letting me (occasionally) win all those weekends we played horse. Although you tried your best, I unfortunately still throw a softball "like a girl." I am fortunate enough to have all the wonderful memories of you and Grandma going with us on family vacations to Washington DC, Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Monticello, The Vanderbilt Mansion, The Henry Ford Museum, and so many more. You instilled in me the drive to work hard. Every weekend you'd put me to work and my reward for helping was always a pen of my choice. And after all those Sunday nights helping you with your paperwork for the upcoming week, I am proud to say I followed in your footsteps. I still remember the big smile on your face when you asked about all the different #10 cans I sold, what kind of appetizers I carry, and if you could have a product book. I miss you very much Grandpa! But I take comfort in knowing that Grandma and all rest of us now have our own Guardian Angel in Heaven looking after us. You'll always be my Boompa! I Love You, Stacey

Big Guy~ oh where to start......I should start by saying thank you. Thank you for being an amazing Grandfather. Thank you for being such a loving husband to Grandma, a wonderful father to Mom and such a strong role model. There is not quite a person who in this world can make people laugh the way you were able to. I am so honored to be your Grandchild and to have so many fond memories. Between your goofy sayings, calling all of us by the wrong names, sneaking a sip of Squirt in the basement and reminding us not to tell Grandma......there are so many memories I will forever hold dear in my heart. While you may now be gone from the physical Earth, you will forever live on in our hearts and in our memories. We are all better people because of you. Love you always and forever ~

I have been thinking of you all. I have many fond memories of Uncle Bob, beginning when you lived on the East side of Madison near East High school, and on to our more recent visits at the near-by-restaurant. Plan to be there on Thursday. Sue Sprecher

Grandpa - I can't tell you how much we are going to miss you. Thank you so much for all the wonderful memories and for always giving us a reason to smile. You brought so much joy and laughter to our lives and that's something we will carry with us forever. Thank you for everything you taught me and showing me how to be a strong, independent woman. You taught me how to properly throw a softball by practicing on the squirrels in the backyard. You taught me how to stand up for what I believe in by watching you sing "Three Blind Mice" to the umps at my softball games. You taught me how I can get anything I wanted if I worked hard enough by asking me to sneak you Rolling Rocks on the side after Grandma limited your intake to one. You taught me to never give up and to keep trying even if I fail over and over again, by trying to get last the hit on you but man, you were a fast, agile man!! Grandpa, thank you so much for all of your support. I will always have the memories of all of my softball games you came to. Even though I thought we were going to have to bail you out of jail after every game, I wouldn't have it any other way. :) You'd be so proud, Grandpa, I just accepted a position as one of the Assistant Coaches for the Amherst High School Softball team. I would give anything to have you there on this new adventure but I know you'll be looking down on me. If an ump gets out of line, feel free to make sure their car battery is dead after the game. :) All in all, you were an amazing person that will truly be missed. I am proud to say I am your granddaughter. I love you more than you will ever know and I promise I will get last hit on you again. Until then, I have comfort knowing I have a beautiful angel always looking over me. I love you.
