Mary Urschlitz

URSCHLITZ, MARY L. MADISON-Mary Lou Urschlitz, age 86, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. She was born on Feb. 2, 1928, the daughter of Clifford and Lena (Nelson) Wedlake, and was the first child to be born in Dodgeville General Hospital. Mary Lou married Francis (Frank) Urschlitz on June 23, 1951. She attended St Dennis Catholic Church. Mary Lou and Frank enjoyed a cabin on Lake Wisconsin for many years Mary Lou also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She was very social, loved gardening, working in her yard and was the family records guardian. Mary Lou is survived by her grandsons, Jason and Jeff Urschlitz; her daughter-in-law, Debra Urschlitz; a cousin, Don Berryman; sisters-in-laws, Catherine, Helen, Rosie, Rita, and Jane Moran; and many special friends and neighbors, including, Jean & Peg Johnson, Lori & Bill Nolley, and Lynne Wealti. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in Dec. of 1989; and her son, Larry Urschlitz in Dec., 2003. Mary Lou was very loved and will be missed by all. Memorial Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, with the Rev. Staci Marrese-Wheeler presiding. A private burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
