We're so heartsick at the news of Bruce's way too early death. We considered him a family friend, as he coached our boys at Memorial, and was my teaching colleague and then Principal at JMM. I remember when Principal Pam Nash was leaving, and her successor hadn't been determined, how worried I was until I heard it was going to be Bruce taking over. He was the best possible choice, the very embodiment of all that the JMM community stood for and a great leader, as I knew he would be. It was a pleasure working with and for him. And Bob and I were especially pleased when he was coaching our sons , as we shared the same values and priorities. We knew they were in good hands, and he helped shape them into the men they are now. So his too early leaving is very sad, and we share your grief , Peggy and family. Our sincerest condolences. Bob and Sue Simon

It is diffucult to think of Memorial HS and not think of Bruce. His presence was so powerful...especially how he affected the students and the respect he was shown. He has given so much to so many....students and staff alike. I enjoyed working with him especially before and after we received the federal grant and implemented the backyards. He fully supported the Professional Development School initiative, which was part of changing the culture of the school. He will be greatly missed by the staff and students, but also the community he spent his life supporting. My sincere sympathies to all of his family. God be with all of you in this time of grief.

As good a person as you'll ever want to meet. One of the nicest people to walk the halls of my high school. To say that he will be missed is an understatement. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to those affected by his loss. Bruce leaves behind a wonderful legacy.
