Obituary
LODI- Donald Swietlik, age 51, of Lodi, found peace on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. He is the beloved son of Francis and the late Phyllis (nee Faber) Swietlik; loving husband of Barbara (nee Skony); proud father of Joe (mother, Julie), Matt (mother, Julie), and David; dear brother of Ann (James), Frank (Susan), and Mary. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Donald was a mechanical engineer at Flambeau Corporation and received several U.S. Patents for his work. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harleys, and practical jokes.
A funeral service will be held at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 258 Lodi Street, Lodi at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, with Reverend Jessica Scholten presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of services on Monday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. My friend and tennis partner, Frank Swietlik, always talks so proudly of Don and his other children. I got to know Donald a little through Frank. My heart and thoughts go out to the entire Swietlik family.

What a tremendous loss to all of you. Barb, I remember how happy he was to meet you; your love and your marriage were everything to him. Joe, Matt, David, you were the focus of his life, and he spoke with great pride about all of you over the years whenever we were in contact. Frank, Don looked up to you, had tremendous respect for you, and loved you deeply. Ann, Frank, Mary, my condolences at the loss of your brother. I enjoyed his stories about all of you growing up, and especially the jokes he played on each of you and your parents (remember the peanut butter wars in the living room?) I enjoyed working with him, both at the law office and the service station, and always had a good conversation and a laugh with him whenever our paths crossed over the years.
