We lived at the Highlands and became good friends with Helen. I played bingo, buno and Phase 10 with her when she lived here. Kathy and I packed her things up and helped get her settled when she moved to Arbor Village. We attended her parties there. Don went and checked on her every morning when she was still at the Highlands. They had long talks about the old days and her late husband Lew. She loved Don and I always told her I was willing to share him with her. God rest her soul she had lots of pain in her life and now she's pain free. God be with the family in their time of grief. This is such a beautiful picture of a beautiful lady. I will miss her more than I can say.

Dennis and Family, & Marcie, We are so very sorry for your loss. Helen was one very special lady. She was another grandmother to Jenni and Brian and a special friend to us. We have so many wonderful memories of Helen and Lew., or Hellie and Ah-ooh as our kids called them. Always a happy duo and the best neighbors a young couple could have asked for. We are sorry we can't be there with you but we are in AZ for the winter. Know that we are thinking of you and send our condolences and love. She was very very proud of her family. The picture you used for her obit captured the essence of Helen so well. We will always remember the mischief in her eyes and her warm, loving smile.

Condolences from an old Reetz Road neighbor. Helen was a staple of the neighborhood. My daughter interviewed her once for a school project to get a personal view of history. We got together a couple of times for traveling dinners on the block. Thank you to her family for sharing her with her neighbors. May you be comforted in a life well lived. Don Thornton Madison WI
