Shirley Middleton

MIDDLETON, SHIRLEY D. MADISON-Shirley D. Middleton, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Columbus H.C.C. She was born on Nov. 6, 1926, in Madison, the daughter of Robert and Ellen (Mooney) Stolen. She married Frank Middleton in March,1962. Shirley worked at Oscar Mayer and Rayovac for many years. She always enjoyed helping people and she loved to cook. Shirley loved to have fun, but she also worked very hard. She is survived by her sons; Thomas (Linda) Farr and Douglas (Mary) Middleton; two brothers, Tom Stolen and Gary Stolen; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; her brothers, Andrew, Leon, and Terry; and her sister, Audrey. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. A private burial will be held at St. Mary’s on the Lake Cemetery.
