Sally and I worked together at Madison Dance Club when she was teaching ballroom dance. She was always dedicated to her work and her students. I didn't know about it so much at the dance studio, but we also shared a love of animals. One time when I visited her house, I became acquainted with a breed that I was not familiar with, her Keeshond. I was so impressed with this dog and how beautiful and well natured it was, that I finally got one a few years later. That dog, Jasmin was my most beloved dog EVER. I have since done fostering and always wanted another Keeshond. I finally found one in Minnesota at a rescue that would consider an out of state adopter. I drove 5 hours one way to get that dog. She too is an absolute delight. While I love all dogs, Keeshonden are now my favorite and that's due to Sally.

I first met Sally back in the 1980's , at Milwaukee Dog Training Obedience Trial, when we were both showing a Norwegian Elkhound in obedience. I invited her to join the Greater Milwaukee Norwegian Elkhound Association, which she did and remained a member until her death.
She and Jim helped us in the rescue of Norwegian Elkhounds, making room in their home for two of our rescued dogs in need. They were only two of the many dogs this kind hearted woman took in. Bless her for her love of her dogs and her soft heart to animals. You are missed Sally.
