Obituary
MADISON-Virginia A. Knaack, age 83, of Madison, completed her final journey home on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, after residing at Kindred Hearts Memory Care in Cottage Grove. Virginia loved working with children and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Virginia is survived by her children, Mary (Stan) Rohrer, Anne (Stuart) Coogan, Walter “Bruce” Kathy Knaack and Jim (Sue Lisi) Knaack; grandsons, Jacob and Nicholas; a brother, Dave (Pat) Wentzka; and a sister, Jean. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Stella (Wezbicki) Balcer, husband; and a sister, Irene Vokovan. Private services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank all who helped Virginia on her final journey home. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

To Virginia's family. My name is Ruth Marty, and years ago I shared employment at Monona Grove State Bank during the same time that Virginia was employed there. We spent our work days in the Bookkeeping Department and shared some of the joys and sorrows of living in moments when we were not carrying out our skills in banking. My sympathy to you, I remember her as a congenial, lovely woman and I'm glad she touched my life.
I saw the obituary in the WIS State Jrnl. I am in Arizona for the winter and moved, with my husband to Peosta IA in 2000.

Hello family.
I wish I could be there for the tribute to a special lady. She was always a joy and a blessing to be around. She would always share something positive about others and I don't recall a disparaging word from her at the many family events.
I look forward to seeing her in the eternal reunion God has in store for all of us.
blessings to the family,
