I always think of model trains when I think of my uncle, Bob. When I was a kid, he had a great model train set that he wasn't using and loaned it to me when we lived in Menomonee Falls and it brought many hours of joy. My Dad and I built (well, he built & I watched) a large area on a couple sheets of plywood for the trains to run on and we had a pretty elaborate setup. That brought us several years of pleasure and learning and I remain grateful to this day for that loan of something he valued highly. He may have had a knack for rubbing some people in the Meyer family the wrong way, but I have nothing but positive memories about him. Your family has Sue and my sympathies at the loss of your father and grandfather. Bill & Sue Meyer

Please accept Don's & my sympathies on the loss of your Dad & Grandpa. I have more recent memories of Bob & his calling one day after Don & I had moved to West Allis, WI. We had a very pleasant conversation about his boyhood home that later became Schmidt Park. Don & I went on a mission to find just where it was, from his general directions. We were able to find it & take some pictures, which we sent to Bob. We talked again after he received them & he was very thankful & enjoyed getting them. It was very nice to have made a connection with him after all these years. You are all in our thoughts & prayers at this sad time. Mary & Don Krueger
