Obituary

MADISON-Robert “Bob” Brown, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, peacefully with his family by his side at his home in Madison after a long battle with cancer. Robert was born on March 1, 1960, in Madison. He is the son of Edward Brown and the late Beverly Brown. Robert graduated from Oregon High School. He worked many years in construction and automotive and could build and fix anything. As a young man Robert enjoyed racing stock cars at the local tracks and loved to watch Nascar racing. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of his life; hunting, fishing, racing, those old western shows, being the prankster and building and fixing items around the house. He always had to be working on something. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and would do anything for them. He was a faithful Matt Kenseth fan, a Packers fan and Badger fan. Robert is survived by his wife, Sue Brown; and daughters, Shelby Brown and Amber (Michael) Wyttenbach. He also leaves behind his father, Edward Brown; brother, Russ (Sue) Brown; sister, Kris (Doug) Cupp; grandchildren, James and Kinley Wyttenbach; and many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Brown; brother, Rodney Brown; and father-in-law, Ed Egstad. A Memorial Gathering will be held at CHRSITY’S LANDING, 2952 Waubesa Ave., Madison, at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. Our family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Agrace HospiceCare for all their support while Robert battled cancer, and to all Robert’s wonderful friends who supported the family through these times. A wonderful, kind, talented, and generous man. Always there to help at any time. He fought cancer like no other - it may have taken his physical abilities but never his heart and soul. My deepest condolences Sue, Shelby, Amber and entire family. May your many, cherished memories of Robert bring you comfort. I will miss my neighbor, my friend. God Bless, Amanda Robinson

I grew up and went to school with Robert. I know the family very well. He was a great guy, I feel so bad that he suffered from cancer. I hope he is at peace now. My thoughts and prayers are with the family! Donald and Dawn Gray Oregon, WI

I remember Robert as the prankster on the bus as well as at school. His intention was never to be mean, just silly. He was one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I cannot believe he is gone. We wish to send our deepest heartfelt condolences to all of Roberts family, and may you find peace in knowing he suffers no more. May God help you through this difficult time.

Deepest Sympathy Sue and to your entire family. My favorite memory of Robert was when we all went Whitewater rafting up north and although you two flipped over Robert retold the event by the fire that night with some laughter and a smile. Love and Hugs, Kimmy Nelson
