DEPPONG, IRMA
FITCHBURG- Irma Deppong, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Madison. She was born on Aug. 8, 1926, in Kenosha, the daughter of Antonio and Angelina Costabile. Irma married Mathias Deppong at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madison. Irma attended U.W. Madison and graduated with the class of 1949. She loved dancing and reading. Irma is survived by her husband, Mathias; a son, Anthony of Fitchburg; a sister, Esther (Tom) Morley of Kenosha; brother and sister-in-law, John (Joan) Deppong, sister and brother-in-law, Anna Marie (Jack) Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Irma was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Eugene (Alice) Costabile, Silvio (Costantina) Costabile, Gerda (Jerry) Ziccarelli; and sister-in-law, Betty Deppong. Funeral services will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC PARISH at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Burial will be held at a later date in Kenosha. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donor’s choice. Matt, my thoughts and prayers are with both you and Anthony at this difficult time. I remember as a little girl, playing with Anthony and how sweet Irma always was. I remember when you moved away from badger road how much the whole Bennett family missed all of you. I hope knowing she is in the loving arms of our Father gives you comfort. Bless you both. I was so sorry to see that Irma has passed on. I will never forget all the good times and laughs you had with my mom and dad!!!! Matt and Irma were always there for my mom after my dad passed on. THANK YOU again. Now Irma is up in heaven and having fun and good laughs with them once again. Anthony ,I babysat you all those times your parents went out. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you both during this difficult time. I won't be able to attend Irma's funeral service due to work, but i will say prayers for you. Please take care, Colleen
