Obituary
OXFORD/STOUGHTON-Ronald H. Luebke, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. During Ron's 76 years of life he had many chapters and during every chapter he shared his humor, sarcasm and care for others. He was born in Minneapolis and raised in Madison. Ron graduated from East High School in 1955. During his life he did many things, but being a leader came natural. Ron traveled the world in the Navy and then worked construction and as a bartender which led to meeting his second wife and a second life. He worked for many years at United Way and was always involved with the AFL-CIO. He retired in 2000 as the treasurer of the Laborer Local 464. It didn't matter where you would go, Ron knew somebody. He was the type of man who could fill a room with fun and laughter. Ron loved to go fishing with his great friends in Canada, to deer hunting in Cable with a whole crew of men who included his sons and grandsons, he also loved arguing about who won at cards with his dear friends the Dvoraks, making his beloved apple pies with his wife for church bake sales, and helping the friendship ladies prepare meals for funeral at St. Ann’s in Brooks, Wis. He was loved by all. Later in life, Ron found the joy of being Santa and was recognized by all. He spread Christmas cheer to every man, women, and child. His passing on Christmas Eve is a true message that Santa was needed elsewhere. He is survived by his beloved family which includes his wife, Lonnie of Oxford; his children, Donna Luebke of Maine, Scott Harold Luebke of Maine, James (Beverly) Klimek of Marshfield, John (Pam) Klimek of Oregon, Scott Michael Klimek of Briggsville, Dawn (John) Zeimet of Stoughton and William (Amber) Luebke; his grandchildren, Bryce, Brittany (Terrance) & Brandon Luebke, Elizabeth Klimek, Chelsea (Ryan), Nick (Jacque) and Brad Klimek, Brian (Beth), Sean (Jenna) and Brittany Klimek, Ryan, Eric and Colten Vingum, and Kyle Zeimet and Devan and Cameron Luebke; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 320 N. Harrison Street, Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 with Father Randy Budnar and Msgr. John Hebl presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy 51, Stoughton and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Dear Luebke Family,
God must have really needed help up there, he sent the Christmas Angels for Santa to make certain that all of the wishes were answered in Heaven. Ron was an amazing man, he couldn't wait to get a rise out one. I wanted to thank him for loving and caring for Lonnie and the family so dearly.
My thoughts are prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
Love,
