Obituary

MADISON-Nancy A. Dyer, age 51, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on Oct. 27, 1962, the daughter of James and Virginia (Beale) Lumina. She married David Dyer on Dec. 28, 1981, in Madison at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Nancy liked watching Ellen and Dr. Oz. She loved staying up late playing her games such as, mahjong and doing word searches. Nancy always recognized birthdays with beautiful cards. She loved her family and was comforting, selfless, and quiet, but yet a good listener. Nancy had unbelievable willpower and strength. She is survived by her husband, David; a son, Cory; daughters, Natasha (Mitchel) Rundle, and Tanya (Van Eno); mother, Virginia (Joe Meitner) Lumina; siblings, John (Barb) Lumina, and their children Jerad and Adam, Joe Lumina, Carrie (Randy Schott) Lumina, Jim Lumina, and her puppy, Bear, who gave her comfort throughout the last year. She was preceded in death by her father, James; a sister, Rosemary; and many aunts, uncles, and other relatives. A Prayer Service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, with Father John Silva presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for all the care given to Nancy and also to Dr. Lila Middlefort at Wildwood Clinic.
