He was born on April 8, 1982, in Fairfield, Calif., the son of Steven and Mamie (Wegman) O’Connor. A lifelong resident of Madison, Creed was very kind and generous to all. He loved to be at Squaw Bay, the family cottage on Lake Superior. Creed graduated from Madison East High School in 2000, where he proudly lettered in wrestling and football. He climbed the highest mountain in Ireland, Brandon Peak on the Dingle Peninsula, and enjoyed travelling everywhere. He especially loved curling as a member of the Arlington Curling Club. He is survived by his parents, Steven and Mamie; his brother, Danny; sister, Kate (Sean) Rice; brother, Tim (Jamie); nieces and nephew, Maddy, Anna, Connor, Jocelynne, and Ellana; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Ashley. My thoughts and prayers go out to Creed's family. He was a special young man. I was his supervisor at the Federal Courthouse. He could always be counted on, and I enjoyed working with him. He will be missed by all who knew him. RIP

My deepest condolences to the O'Connor family, may you find solace in Creed's kindness and good nature. He learned to skip while we were learning to curl and we had good times doing it all. Creed always had excellent draw weight! He knew the importance of the socialization associated with curling and took part with openness and a glad heart. He will be missed. Rest In Peace, my friend.

Creed we absolutely loved having you around. You always knew what say or do to keep us smiling, the countless card games & many laughs are only a very small part of what we'll miss about having you around. I'll never forget the day you and i went to the St Dennis fest, we got rained on but had a great time lol! I can still taste that cake today mmm mmmm :)
I love you, words can't express how much we'll miss you

Steve & Mary Jo,
It was a profoundly sad moment to hear the news of Creed's passing. May our loving God comfort you and give you peace as your grieve your precious child. I often remembered Creed over the years as this wonderfully happy child with Tootsie Rolls placed carefully in his belt loops. His smile lit up the room even brighter than the flames in the fire place. A personality the filled the room!
You have begun a journey that only you will know. No other human being can predict what will come and when as you grieve. Go forward on this journey confident in the presence and guidance of our loving God.
I found this in a book of Irish quotes:
"Feel no guilt in laughter, he’d know how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to. He’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely within your heart."
God's Peace and Grace,
Janet Johnson Van Epps
