Obituary

MacMiller, Eleanor MONONA- Eleanor MacMiller, age 94 of Monona passed away peacefully on December 15, 2013, at Oak Park Place. She was born on January 11, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Ida (Tjader) Hjort. Eleanor married Ransom MacMiller on Nov. 9th. In her spare time, she enjoyed her visits to Ho-Chunk, especially playing bingo. Eleanor loved visits from her family; there was nothing more important to her. She is survived by her children; Karen (Don) Bowes, Randy (Nancy) MacMiller, Penny (Steve) Raffill, Wendy Scalissi and friend, Gary Fausch, Terry (Ron) Schultz and Steve (Cheryl) MacMiller; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren; two babies on the way; and dear friends, Evy Taylor and Mary Owens. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ransom; grandson, Randie Steinhofer; great-grandaughter, Ashley Lynn Geil; son-in-law, Joseph Scalissi; and eight siblings. On behalf of Eleanor’s wishes, a private service will be held. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. To my children: Be not sorrowful that I am gone, and my earthly life is done. Be not sad I passed away, for in you, my children, I live each day. There is a little of me in all of you, in each new one I live anew. So you see, I’ll never really be gone, as long as there are children to carry on. I’ve had my share of love, sorrow and strife; I have lived a full and fruitful life. So do not mourn, and do not weep, for I have earned this peaceful sleep. I love you all: Mom Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care 5203 Monona Drive (608) 221-5420
