Obituary

MADISON-Audrey F. Doll passed away on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. She was born on Nov. 9, 1933 in Honey Creek Township, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Willey) Steinhorst. Audrey was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and worked as a crossing guard in Madison for over 30 years. She loved watching the children grow and cherished the moments when those children became parents themselves. Audrey enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, word search, and the simple joys of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Dennise (Lon) Fisk; grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Liljestrand, Nicole Foley, and Dale (Megan) Fisk; great-grandchildren, Elsie Liljestrand and expecting another this January; two brothers, Ronald and Russel Steinhorst; two sisters, Marlene (Burger “Bert”) Enstad and Eunice (Merlin) Shanks; and many extended family members. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Doll; sisters, Delores (Russell) Higbee and Lorna (Leo) Wieglow; and sister-in-law, Shirley Steinhorst. Funeral service will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, with the Rev. Bernt Tweit presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
