Obituary
MONONA – Jeffrey L. Derer, age 56, was reunited with his daughter on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013. On Dec. 12, 1956 Jeff was born to John and Janet Derer at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a special Christmas gift. Jeff grew up in Monona and graduated from Monona Grove H.S. in 1976. He married in 1983 and had three wonderful children. Jeff was a glazier and worked at several glass shops in the area. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and nature. Jeff is survived by loving sons, Andrew and Thomas; former wife, Cindy; parents, John and Janet; brother, Jim (Elsie), sisters, Joan (Mike) Harper, and Jane (Frank) Pazour; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friend, Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his dear daughter, Emily in 2001; grandparents, Henry and Wilma Waller, Luke and Geta Derer; aunts, Marion and JoAnn; and cousin, Steve Waller. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. A memorial fund will be established. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

My prayers go out to the Derer family and friends. I will always remember working with Jeff at J.D. Glass. He always made me laugh with his humor. We had great times together.
