Fifty years ago Lyle Crary was playing basketball for Holy Redeemer CYO basketball team and I was was the coach. Lyle was one of our best players, but we had to forfeit all of our games because we had a few players who were not eligible to play, because they were not Catholic ,but they did attend our weekly religious classes. Our uniforms were donated by Badgers Sporting Goods and they were samples from all different basketball teams around the country. The only thing they had in common was they were all red. May God bless you and all of the other members of the best team I ever coached.

I had the pleasure of caring for Lyle for many months and grew to appreciate his quirky humor and amusing stories. I am relieved his burden has been lifted, but I will miss him and the mischievous spark in his eye.

My condolences to Norris, family and friends. I have many fond memories of Lyle from Lincoln School and Central High. I remember the many fun times we had at Conklin Park, and the 'Jungle'. I am so sorry to hear of his illness and passing. I most remember his great sense of humor and his warm heart. I send my prayers, may God be with you always.
