Obituary

OREGON-Mary LuNeil Clayton, age 85, went to our Lord on Oct. 12, 2013, at Four Winds in Verona. She was born on Jan. 10, 1928, to Thomas and Eva (Aldrich) Byrne in Oregon. Mary graduated from Oregon High School. In 1946, she married Don Clayton and became a homemaker. One of the greatest joys in her life was raising six children. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of 58 years, Don, and her daughter, Barbara Ann. Mary is survived by her five children, Ken (Mona) of Evansville, Nancy (Dale) Prell of Georgia, Dan (Mary Lou) of Brooklyn, Tim (Joan) of Florida, and Tom (Rhonda) of Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; three brothers; two sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, with Chaplain Stephen J. Zwettler presiding. Private burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, as well as from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
