Pete was a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of getting to know and work with him through Task Force Tips. He was always smiling and upbeat. It breaks my heart that cancer has taken yet another meaningful life. With deepest sympathy to the immediate family and those at Jefferson Fire & Safety. Sherry Taylor (Exec Asst CMO Task Force Tips)

You don't know me and I didn't know Peter, until now. Whoever wrote this obituary did a beautiful job of detailing out his life, his pleasures, his contributions, and his legacy. Thank you. My mom died in February of ALS and ever since I wrote her obituary and tried to do what you just did, to show that she was a beautiful soul who left a lasting presence in everyone she touched, I didn't pay attention to obituaries. I do now. You honor your father, husband, friend with your words of who he is as a person. I just wanted you to know that I'm so sorry for the loss of this great man and I appreciate that you have done such a beautiful job sharing his legacy. I hope you find peace and joy in remembering him by honoring who he was. - Lynea LaVoy

I remember with great fondness Pete's dedication to making our many swimming and diving events at Seminole a lot of fun. His humor and willingness to help where needed was always present. He was a very good man with a wonderful smile and soul. I feel priviledged to have known him-Stephani (Dill)Henderson

I felt blessed to have gotten to know Pete again after many years had passed since we were in high school. Pete fought his battle with cancer with unbelievable grace and courage and he was always positive about the next round of treatment. He never stopped talking about his family and how proud he was of his two sons and his beautiful wife Beth. What an incredible Dad, Husband and friend - just a GREAT GUY - may the memories of Pete help all that knew him fill the great loss of his friendship. Prayers to you all - Ann Danner Dwyer
