Obituary
FITCHBURG-Debra E. Nelson, age 62, of Fitchburg, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Dec. 3, 1950, in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of C. Darrel and W. Jean (Lauver) Murphy. Debra married David M. Nelson on Jan. 3, 1997. She was employed by UW-Madison for 15 years retiring in 2006.
Debra is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Amy L. (William) Miller of Verona, son, Matthew J. (Laura) Murphy of Key West, Fla.; mother, Jean of Peoria, Ill.; sister, Diane K. Whitwood of Bloomington, Ill.; and three grandsons, Neil, Maxwell, and Owen. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Private services will be held at Oak Hall Cemetery in Springdale Township. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the UW Oncology Department, Dr. H.Ian Robins, and his wonderful staff, and to the staff at Agrace Hospice for their care.
