I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. You can find much comfort in the Holy Scriptures which assures us at Psalms 34:18 that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

"ONLY ONCE"
© BY: FLORENCE ROGERS. 10-19-2013
WE KNOW WHERE YOU STAND TODAY,
FOR WE HAVE BEEN THERE WHERE YOU ARE TODAY.
LOOSING A LOVED ONE, CAN NEVER BE REPLACED,
WE MAKE EACH DAY AFTER, BY GOD'S GRACE.
SO PLACE YOUR CARES AND HURTS IN GOD'S HANDS TODAY,
YOU WILL MAKE IT BY HIS GRACE.
LIFT YOUR HEAD AND GIVE A SMILE,
SOMEONE NEEDS YOU AFTER AWHILE..
THERE IS PEACE AND THERE IS REST,
AS YOU TRY EACH DAY TO PASS THE TASK.
IT WILL NOT ALWAYS BE EASY AS YOU GO ALONE.
FOR ON EVERY LIFE ROSE, THERE IS ALWAYS A THORN.
WATCH THE FLOWERS ALONE THE WAY,
THEY WERE PUT THERE TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY.
SO ENJOY THE FRAGANCE AS YOU PASS BY
AND REMEMBER YOU ARE LOVED, COME WHAT MAY.
THE ROAD OF LIFE IS TRAVELED BUT ONCE,
YOUR LOVED ONE HAS MADE THE JOURNEY, ONLY ONCE.
LOVE YOU ALL,
REV. JESSE AND FLORENCE ROGERS

Clay was a kind and thoughtful friend. He enjoyed sharing in conversation with us his love of the scriptures, and truths he had searched out.
He was a great usher at Door Creek Church and you could always count on him. He will be missed.
Barb, you and Clay made a great couple. You told us you recently celebrated your “52nd” wedding anniversary. You said it was the best, and memories will fill your heart.
With continued prayers,
John and Sharon Shotwell
