Helen Mae Rogers

WAUNAKEE-Helen Mae Rogers, age 64, of Waunakee, passed away on Oct. 31, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kan. She was born on March 4, 1949, in Prairie du Sac, the daughter of Louis and Rita (Nellen) Herbrand. Helen graduated from Waunakee High School in 1967. She married Terry Rogers on July 19, 1969, in Waunakee. Helen worked for the State of Wisconsin for 32 years. She was a missionary through Grace Baptist Church for the last three years with her husband, Terry, and was also involved with Reformers Unanimous at Grace and the Christ Center Addictions Program. Helen is survived by her husband, Terry; daughter, Lori (Brian) Rogers-Dahl; brothers, Ken Herbrand and Steve (Deb) Herbrand; sisters, Judy (Doug) Curwick, Carla (Mike) Hoffbauer, and Mary (Dennis) Rauls; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger. Funeral services for Helen will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Dr., Madison, at noon on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, with Pastor Dean Howell presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Monday.
