Margaret L. Crowell

WAUNAKEE-Margaret L. Crowell, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1930 in Sutter, Ill., the daughter of Homer and Ida Nagel. Margaret married Bennie Crowell on Dec. 17, 1947. She worked for Aramark for over 20 years. Margaret’s true passion was for travelling. She travelled all over the world. She was also an avid collector of dolls and glass angels. Margaret was a member of the Red Hatters and a longtime member of Monona United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, David (Laura); daughter, Judy (Roger) Pitts; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennie; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 with the Rev. David Byers-Dent presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
