Obituary
MADISON-Lorraine M. Hanson, age 79, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, from complications of ALS at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov. 29, 1933, in Cazenovia, the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Rockweiler) Anderson. Lorraine graduated from Cazenovia High School and moved to Madison where she held numerous jobs as a waitress. She will be remembered by everyone she waited on at Browns Restaurant, Rennebohms, Hoffman House, and Shamrock. After their retirement, both she and her husband, Don, went back to work at Swiss Colony for about 15 years. Lorraine enjoyed special events with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous friends. She had a love for bowling, golfing, dancing, camping at Willow Mill, and spending winters in Florida. Lorraine was passionate for all sports on TV. She was an avid Badgers, Brewers, and Packers fan, especially Brett Favre. She adored flowers, and will be tending to God’s pink roses. Lorraine is survived by her best friend, caregiver, dance-partner and loving husband, Don of 36 years; daughters, Cindy Reichardt of Chicago, Donna Cerqua of Verona, Anita Reichardt-Orizaba (Luis) of Madison, and Kathy Reichardt-Jochmann (Harold) of Madison; son, Dennis Reichardt (Pam) of Madison; and step-daughters, Gloria Hanson-Hart of Manchester, England, Jan McMullen (Mike) of El Paso, Texas and Patti Glaeser of Albion. She is further survived by sisters, Kitty Fish of Columbus, Bonnie Bill (Bob) of Cazenovia, and Alice Heiling (Dennis) of Juneau; brothers, Harold Anderson (Army) of Madison, and Bernard Anderson (Mary) of Lavalle; and sister-in-law, Diane Anderson. She is further survived by grandchildren, Dustin and Amanda Cerqua, Rick Reichardt (Sheri), Andy (Beth), and Nichole Priebe, Trevor Reichardt, Hillary Marino (Dom), and Daniel Wopat (Val); step-grandchildren, Nathan (Susan) and Zach (Shannon) Hanson-Hart, and Jenna Glaeser; as well as many precious great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Arlene Berberich, Leona Anderson and Virginia Ferrari; and brothers, Delbert Anderson, Harvey Anderson, Leon Anderson and Alfred Anderson. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at Noon on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, with the Father Timothy Jones, LC presiding. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday. A luncheon will be held at the East Side Club following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, ALS Research, UW Hospital, or Marshfield Clinic.
