Dear Joni, Jan and families, Your mother was always so gracious and welcoming to me when I was young and all of the years since. She was a great cook and a woman of style who loved to play cards with us and just have a good time! She loved her grandchildren and was as proud of them as she was her daughters. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. Your mother brought such beauty into the world through her love and appreciation of nature and home cooking. I always enjoyed going to her home in Clear Lake to see what beautiful flowers and plants she had. She always made us feel part of the family. Shirley was a classy lady.
