Kathe Inga Rogers

LODI-Kathe I. Rogers, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. She was born on Jan. 2, 1935, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of Lauritz and Hildur Nielsen. Kathe was united in marriage to Harlan Rogers on June 10, 1970. He preceded her in death in 2008. Kathe immigrated to America in 1954. Together with her husband they owned and operated two Redi-Mix Concrete plants in northern Illinois. They retired in 1982 and spent many winters in Florida. Kathe enjoyed knitting, playing her keyboard and yoga, but treasured most the time spent with her family. Survivors include her children, Susan Rogers and William D. Rogers and grandchildren, Heidi (Wojtek) Charchalis and Derek Rogers. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Committal services will be held at GARDEN BLUFF CEMETERY, Lodi, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. Burial will be in Garden Bluff Cemetery.
