Obituary
MADISON – Derek Harold Anderson, age 38, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. He was a graduate of Memorial High School. Derek attended MATC, UW – Eau Claire, and graduated from UW-Milwaukee. He worked for a time at REM and did a great job helping others. Derek loved his children, family, and friends, and enjoyed many activities with them. He was an avid snow boarder, fisherman, biker, and tennis player.
Derek is survived by his children, Charlie and Leah Anderson; former wife, Anna Liska; father, Gerald H. (Judy) Anderson; mother, Sheryl E. Becker; brother, Graham (Anna Marie) Anderson; sister, Gretchen (Steve) Malin; step-siblings, Ryan (Angie) Klitzsch, Melanie (Mike) Pavalonis, and Valerie (Jeff) Mahoney. He is also survived by a handful of best friends.
Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 with the Rev. Richard Johnson presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
