I will greatly miss you and your smile at family gatherings. For some reason to me you never aged, you were always that beautiful picture on Grandma and Grandpas wall. This is because you were always that beautiful person. As a young girl I always hoped I could be as pretty as you. You never judged me or the decisions I made which always made me feel comfortable around you. I always wanted to ask you a question about a story that was told to me by one of your sisters (not sure who anymore) and I regret never taking the time to ask. This story has affected me through my whole life and I deal with it almost everyday during the summer. The question I wanted to ask you is did a bat really get stuck in your hair one summer night? I never knew if I could believe this story or if it was just a ploy to get me to calm down and go inside for the night. To this day when a bat comes into my work area (shipping dock) they search me out and find me and I always think of that story and how the bat is going to get tangled up in my
Being in the same room as you was always calming and no one ever gave me that feeling except you. Family get togethers will be hard as they were when we lost Grandma and Grandpa. I will find peace in watching your beautiful granddaughters grow and I hope from time to time I will catch a glimpse of you in them.
