Obituary

OREGON-Ina A. Stoehr, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on July 16, 1932, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Fred & Agnes (Goulet) Roehling. Ina was united in marriage with Maynard Stoehr on Nov. 26, 1953, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls . Mrs. Stoehr had been a longtime resident of Oregon. She was an accomplished violinist playing with the Studio Orchestra. She devoted her lifetime to helping others as a Registered Nurse at various hospitals and clinics, and finished her career at Meriter Hospital, Madison. Ina was an active member at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church in Oregon and was also a member of the Oregon Town & Country Women’s Club. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bridge with her Bridge Club, travelling with her husband, sewing, making quilts, and volunteering at Agrace HospiceCare. She served on the Board of Directors of Genesis House. Although her life was filled with many interests and activities her greatest enjoyment came from being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ina is survived by her beloved family which include her husband of 59 years, Maynard; her five children, Steve (Lori), Tom (Laurie), Judy (Roger) Rufener, Jean (Jim) Novak and Bob (Mary); her 12 grandchildren, Dan and Andrew Stoehr, Kelsi Stoehr, Kate (Randy) Goecks, Dennis, Mark, and Brian Rufener, Mike Sweno, Nick (Kate) Novak, Jeremy (Rachel), Ryan,and Erica Stoehr; her four great-grandchildren, Keagan, Emerson, Ashton and Brantley Goecks; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ina joins in heaven her parents, Fred and Agnes; as well as her sisters, Faye (Red) Campbell, Doris (Anton) Liedl, and Mary (Joseph) Krall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Visitations will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass on Friday. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Ina’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Agrace HospiceCare staff for the compassion and loving care of Ina. It's hard to believe that all of the Roehling girls are gone now, but we are glad that none of them are suffering anymore.
