I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of a true American hero, both too his country and his family and friends. I knew Ed from playing euchre tournaments and him also coming to our cabin in Richland county a few years back for a weekend of cards and jokes. Dear Ann and Pat..Love and sympathy to you and your family. My favorite memory of Ed is the ride we had together in the Mercedes convertible...in the later 80's, I believe. It made for great conversation, even the last time I visited with him and you, Ann in June! He always asked about the car. More recently, I told Ed his high school class graduation photo from about 74 years ago is in a case at East High School. He thought that was pretty amazing! We always enjoyed our visits with you.
