I will never forget seeing that smiling face coming down the sidewalk
at my house in Morristown when I was 5 years old and Johnny was 13.
He was there to take me to the movie or around town with him, always
holding my hand as we crossed the streets.
It was always nice getting to see him over the years. He was a very
special person to me

John and I became friends when I lived next door to John and his first wife on W. Hillview Dr. in Brentwood. He was one of the kindest people I've ever met. Always had a friendly greeting and a warm smile. I continued to keep in contact with him after he remarried and moved to Florida. My wife and I stopped to visit with him and Mardi when going to Sanibel, and enjoyed, so much, their warm hospitality. My deepest sympathy to Mardi and the Parker family. He will be sorely missed.

We went to church with John and Dot for many years. Also in a bridge group together, so, between the two, watched their children and grand-children grow up. We met Mardi when they first visited back in Nashville. Although we have not been together for a long time, John and his many kindnesses come to mind regularly. We extend our condolences to all the family. Terry and Dianne Olive, WaterColor, FL
