CROSS PLAINS-Claudia Jane Sanders, age 59, of Cross Plains passed away on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Aug. 8, 1954, in Oak Park, Ill., the daughter of Eugene and Jane (Elliott) Marre. She married Eric Mark Sanders on May 2, 1987, in Hinsdale, Ill. Claudia, an attorney, worked for several health care organizations culminating as Vice President of Legal Services and Compliance with UW Medical Foundation. She was very proud of her son, Michael. Claudia loved her English setters, Bruin and Haley, and Caellie, the cat.
Claudia is survived by her husband, Eric “Rick”; son, Michael of Chicago, Ill.; father, Eugene of Oak Brook, Ill.; sisters, Cynthia (Joe) DeFranco of Hinsdale, Ill., Mary (Jeff Jones) Marre of Chicago, Ill., Nelly (Tom) Mitchell of Chicago, Ill., and Terese Clapper of Lisle, Ill.; and brother, Eugene (Denise Voskuil) Marre of Hinsdale, Ill. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane.
A Celebration of Claudia’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, from 5 until 8 p.m. Memorials in Claudia’s name may be directed to the UW Carbone Center or Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. My Heart is saddened with heaviness of the loss of Claudia. Claudia had an infectious laugh that could be heard throughout the 4th floor at the AOB. She was a truly wonderful woman. She loved her family dearly. I always loved to hear her updates on her son and husband lives. She was so very proud of her son. I will truly miss Claudia. My thaught and prayers will be with all of you throughtout this difficult time. When your feeling down, just remember the sound of Claudia's laughter...
