Margaret E. Erdman

MIDDLETON-Margaret E. Erdman, age 100, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013. Margaret was born on January 27, 1913, the second daughter of August and Josepha Sonnentag in Marathon City, WI. The family moved to Wausau, where she grew up and received her education. She was united in marriage to Charles Erdman who preceded her in death on July 28, 1968. Margaret worked in retail for many years. After her retirement her hobbies were sewing, knitting, crocheting and playing cards with family and friends. In 2010 she moved to Middleton where she resided at Middleton Village Nursing Home until her death. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Joan (Bruce) Engebretson, White Bear Lake, MN and Carol Cooper, Middleton; grandchildren, Jamie Hart Oak Creek, WI and Charles (Lorraine) Genrich, White Bear Lake, MN and great-grandchildren Jenna Hart, Andrea (Jon) Halvax, Michael Genrich and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded by her parents and sister Tarsilla (Paul) Kapus. Honoring Margaret’s wishes there will be no formal funeral services held. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Wausau.
