Obituary

MONONA/COTTAGE GROVE-Alice L. Harbort, age 88, passed away on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Kindred Hearts in Cottage Grove. She was born on Oct. 12, 1924, the daughter of Oscar and Anna Johnson. Alice was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert Harbort. Together they raised three children. Alice enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Alice worked for Steven’s House of Gifts. Robert and Alice wintered in Arizona and spent summers in Lake Delton until Bob passed away. Alice then came back home to be closer to her family. She was a member of Abiding Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. Alice is survived by her children, Dennis (Patricia) Harbort, Doreen (Gerald) Huggett and Daniel (Lee Ann Pinson) Harbort; grandsons, Troy (Barbara) Harbort, Timothy (Rose) Huggett, Matthew (Lina Fatmasari Huggett) Huggett, and Todd Harbort; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Madison Huggett; sister, LaVonne Wilde; sisters-in-law, Edna Smith and Elaine Tuschel; many nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; grandson, Cory Harbort; great-granddaughter, Amanda Harbort; and seven brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held at ABIDING SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 406 W. Cottage Grove Road, Cottage Grove, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013. Friends and family are welcome to visit following the service at a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
