I knew and worked under John for almost twenty years while at General Casualty. By far, he was the best boss I ever had in my 35+ years in the claims business. He was such a gentle person, but one who knew what to say and how to say it in order to get his point across. I never heard a cross word pass his lips and, in truth, modeled my career after his. He was truly my inspiration for the supervisory roles I had over the course of my career. When faced with a difficult decision, I would always ask myself, "What would John do?" John left deep footprints on my heart and I can only imagine what the family must be going through, with Pat's subsequent passing, as well. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss, both of John and of Pat, Grieve not long because they're gone, but rejoice forever because they were.
