Obituary
OREGON-Douglas A. Klagos, age 70 passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, due to complications from Heart disease. He was born on Feb. 6, 1943, to Arthur and Margaret (Goodman) Klagos in Reedsburg, WI. He grew up in Rock Springs and loved hunting and fishing. He attended school in Rock Springs, Reedsburg and Madison West. He was in the Marine Corp for four years and was very proud to serve his country. While stationed in California he met his wife (Carole Loomer) they were married in 1963. He worked for Mass Mutual Life Insurance for over 35 years; and continued as a Broker until his death. He is survived by his wife, Carole; three daughters, Tami (Jason) Imrisek and their children Jake and Hailey, Traci (Chris) Ederesinghe and their children Tayla and Ty, and Tricia Klagos; his sisters, Mickey (Bill) Rowlands, Mary Gundlach, Sue (Tim) Aucremann, and Sally Losco; his brother, David (Sue) Klagos; brothers-in-law, Bob Loomer and Dan (Cindy) Loomer; sister-in-law, Connie (Bob) Busler; his uncle, Harley (Sheila) Klagos; his aunts, Norma Klagos, and Georgia (Bob) Altizer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all who will remember the Christmas Eve parties. He was a member of Stoughton Country Club and up until a few years ago, enjoyed his golf. He loved fishing and spending time up north in Manitowish Waters. He always said “if you have five good friends you are a lucky man”, and felt fortunate in his many friends. He was very proud of the accomplishments of his daughters and claims to have the two best son-in-laws. His pride and joy were his four grandchildren, he lovingly “bragged” about them to everyone. He would attend as many sports events as he could, and could not believe how fast they were all growing up. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Curtis & Marion Loomer; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles. He was a great, honest man and a true friend. We will never forget his laugh and one arm dance. “LOVE YOU MORE” Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, cocktail in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO! What a ride” Semper Fi In lieu of flowers donations in Doug’s name can be made to: Badger Honor Flight, P.O. I will never forgot all the wonderful memories that Jerry, Doug and I have had over many, many years -- from the cocktails at Namio's to the fun times in Manitowish Waters and everything in between! He was a true, true friend and will always be in my heart!
(Hey Dougie -- don't you and Jerry be getting in too much trouble up there!)

From sunny Arizona, Krista and Madison send loving thought to all of Uncle Doug's family and friends. I fondly remember when Uncle Doug came to my wedding and did the white napkin dance which brought great joy and fun to the event - I even had him autograph it for memories!! What a great man he has always and always will be in our lives. Love and prayers in this time of saddness. God will surely bless his journey...XOxo

Doug and I did a lot of joint work together over a 30 year period. Always enjoyed our meetings, especially talking about Musky fishing. Doug helped many, many people with their financial affairs. He will be greatly missed.
