MADISON/WAUNAKEE-Marcus “Marc” Trush, age 73, of Waunakee/Madison, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on January 12, 1940, in Richland Center, the son of Nellie (Chitwood) and Marcus W. Trush. Marc married Betsy Learned Elgas on Feb. 14, 1987. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired after working many years in the trucking and transportation industry. Marc’s interests included stock car racing, making people laugh, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed being a clown or playing Santa. Marc loved spending time watching, talking, and whistling to the birds. Marc is survived by his wife, Betsy; children, Lisa, Kelly, Tracy (Dan), Don, Bill, Shawnee, Brenda, Sandy (Stephanie), and Bob (Jenny); grandchildren, Nikki, Katelyn, Ali, Kyle, Sadee, Tyler, Sam, Trevor, Austin, Hayden, and Zeke; sister, Pat (Larry); and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; Nellie (Chitwood) Fry and Marcus W. Trush; stepdad, Earl Fry; son, Marcus; and sister, Linda. A Celebration of Life will be held at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3702 County Road AB, McFarland, at noon until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Meriter Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Our sympathies for your loss. Marcus was a welcome smile everytime we saw him and was wonderful to be around. He will be missed, sorry we will be out of town during his services he is in our prayers as well as the family.
