Obituary
The Lord called Carrie Jean Dority, age 61, home on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She was born to the late Louis C. and Frances McNeal on Sept. 16, 1951. Carrie was loved and cherished by her family and friends. She will be missed dearly. Carrie Jean Dority confessed her life to Christ at an early age and surely went home to be with Him. She left behind to cherish her memory, her loving companion, Martin Ellis; a daughter, Aretha L. Kimble; two sons, John T. Kimble Jr. II, and Bobby K. Kimble; three sisters, Rosie McNeal, DeLois McNeal, and Annetta (James) McNeal, all of Madison; three brothers, J.L. (Willie Mae) Sommers of Columbus, MS, Louis T. (Karen) McNeal of St. Louis, MO, and James McNeal of Madison; four grandchildren, Carrie Henderson, Asia Brown, Jalyia Kimble, and John Kimble III. She is further survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carrie was preceded in death by parents; a ‘Special’ nephew, Keonte Garel; and her loving sister, Qubie Ann McNeal. Funeral services will be held at SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH, 4303 Britta Parkway, Madison, at Noon on Friday, July 26, 2013, with Pastor David A. Smith presiding. My aunt is truly missed. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. I love you and it was known before you left this earth. I said everything think I wanted to say to you and I made sure of that. The 27 years I had to spend with you wasn't enough but I was willing to let God's will be done and if that meant you going to be with Him that's what I had prepared myself to deal with even though its hard. I know you are in a place of love and happiness! You got one of my wishes granted to you and that was to see my grandma Qubie again! But you also get to see your mother and my great grandmother Frances! I love you! HOLLA HOLLA

First most, "I Love You" Carrie Jean! We have been friends .. "family" for close to 35 years. I have so many memories of you that I will cherish forever. You are my sons (Dennis Jr.) great aunt and lovingly asked my daughter to call you "aunt" as well. I Love that about you and appreciate you & all that you stand for <3 I know you are with the Lord...loving up Miss. Frances and mama Qubie Ann. Please ((HUG)) them for me! I also know you are up there singing w/ the angels...sharing your beautiful gift of song. ("Take Me To The King") I'm going to miss you.. am glad we were able to spend some time together. Carrie was the most beautiful, loving, caring and generous person I've had the pleasure of meeting in my lifetime. I truly enjoyed the Times we spent together, your smile and the way you made me laugh. Most of all I will miss just with you and enjoying your company. I love you like Youu were my aunt and I will NEVER forget you. You will be missed greatly by me and the kids. Thanks for caring, sharing and helping my family when we needed it. We love you Carrie. Rest in paradise with all the other angels and watch over me and my family!!!!!!!
