MADISON/BARABOO-Melissa A. Mazzara, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at her residence in Baraboo. She was born on Feb. 15, 1973, in Brookfield, the daughter of Debra Mazzara. Melissa was doting and loving mother and sister. Melissa was someone who took pride in helping out others. Melissa is survived by her daughter, Ambrielle; siblings, Secunda Mazzara of Madison, April (Dic Dunn) Mazzara Dunn of Baraboo, Andre Mazzara of Madison, Tierra Mazzara of Madison, Nakita Mazzara of Marshfield, and Anthony Mazzara of Baraboo; nieces and nephews, Rosevelt Glenn, Jaida Mazzara, Amiah Mazzara, and Lawrence Maylor; grandmother, Jane Mazzara of Madison; aunts and uncles, Greg Mazzara, Tom (Kathy Gavigan) Mazzara, Sue (Bruce) Donlan, and Jeff Mazzara; cousins, Joe and Lisa Mazzara; along with numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Debra, and uncle, Jeff Mazzara, grandfather, Joseph Mazzara. A Celebration of her Life will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013, with Rev. David Smith presiding. Private family interment of cremated remains will be at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Melissa was a friend for many years and I only wish I could have spent sometime with her. You are an angel in heaven now looking and watching your beautiful daughter grow and become all of the things you dreamed for her. Hold her hand and guide her through life.

I met Melissa July, 2006 at ARC...We had alot in common and had similar struggles. She was always so thoughtful, caring, and giving. This is such a shock to me. Although I am miles away I will trully miss her. RIP Melissa.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa at Pedro's in Wisconsin Dells, she was a wonderful lady and a lot of fun to work with. Also was laughing and smiling. She will be missed. RIP sweet lady.
