Julia Stacey Majette

MADISON-Julia Stacey Majette, age 25, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. She was born on March 15, 1988, in Camden, New Jersey, the daughter of Tracey Majette Cherry and Rufus Hackette. Julia was a 2006 graduate of Madison East High School. She completed the Trans program, became a licensed life insurance salesperson and was currently the manager of Pine View Assisted Living. Julia was married to Daunte Vance. She enjoyed a variety of interests including cooking and music, but enjoyed most of all her time spent with her children, her family and many friends. In addition to her husband, Daunte, Julia is survived by three children, Julia D. Vance, Daunte T. Vance, Jr. and Stacey J. Vance; her mother, Tracey Majette Cherry; her father, Rufus (Jennifer) Hackett; three sisters, Shaunta Majette, Tyrea L. Cherry and Pam Surgick; four brothers, Rufus G. Majette, Isiah, Darius and Parker Hackett; her maternal grandmother, Peggie L. Chapman; a step sister and brother and many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Geraldine Majette and her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Walker. Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S.
