Obituary
MONONA – Emery “Bud” Schaeffer, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born on March 14, 1932, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Melvin and Marjorie Schaeffer. Bud served as Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Ohio University in 1954 with a degree in Business and Accounting. Bud was an agent with Allstate Insurance Company in Middleton until his retirement. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Schaeffer, Lisa (Dick) Spangler, Vicki (Dale) Scovill, Virginia (Randy) Holley; son, Robert (Beth) Schaeffer; and sister, Carole Moon. Bud is further survived by 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis. Private services will be held. To my Schaeffer cousins: so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I have so many great memories of him growing up. He was always a fun person to talk to and be around. I wish I could be there for the funeral but I have travel committments to the east coast for my company. Will be thinking of and praying for all of you.

We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Dale and Vicky Scovill regarding the loss of their family member Emery "Bud" Schaeffer. We are good friends with Linda Scovill and her brother's name is Dale. Emery must have been his dear father-in-law. I had the opportunity to meet Dale and Vicky at a Catholic fish fry in Dane, WI. in May 2011. Best wishes to all who are grieving the loss of "Bud."
